Copying and Scanning Policy

The Otto Bruyns Public Library of Northfield will uphold and enforce Title 17 of the United States Code on “Copyright Law.” Library patrons are fully responsible for copying and scanning materials on the library’s machine in compliance with the relevant copyright law.

Patrons must pay for all copies made, with the exception of copies made for the purposes of library programs, taxes, or school related documents, at the discretion of the library’s supervisor on shift.

• Regular printed black and white text material is $0.15 per page.
• Large colored images, colored photographs or extensive graphics are $0.50 per page.
